INTERNATIONAL MISSIONARIES
***CANADA***
Brian & Trish Fink are praising the Lord for: 1. Visiting with much of their family on Peepeekisis Reserve over the holidays. This was a very difficult Christmas for many after losing loved ones, but it was good to spend time together. It was encouraging that many conversations turned to spiritual things. 2. You have been praying with us for another dear family. The father was able to come and spend a few days over the New Year in our home. He and Brian had a good visit and we pray this time ministered to him. Please, continue to lift up this family for healing and salvation! 3. Cheri being home from college for Christmas. 4. The two big vans are filling up for the annual Mexico missions trip 2/15-29. Many young people from Saskatchewan reserves are getting the chance to travel to the Baja, experience God at work in another cultural setting, and serve for a week at the Foundation for His Ministries orphanage. Brian and his supervisor will each drive a 12 passenger van. 5. The gift of an airline ticket from a friend so Trish was able to travel to IL to mourn the passing and celebrate the life of her Grandfather with her family in Dec.

Missionary Highlight Spanish Daily Breads

If someone were to ask you, ¨What ministry resources or tools could you use?¨, what would your answer be? That was the question Sally Kennedy, the Women’s Missionaries Ministries Coordinator, asked Jose in a church parking lot many years ago. An area that is greatly needed in all Guatemala, especially in our churches and schools, are materials for discipleship and growth. By working as the Christian Education Director at the Utatlan School, Jose saw the need of a unified and systematic way of holding devotions in each class -- each teacher did it differently or even not at all. Jose shared this need with Sally and she thought of the Spanish Daily Bread Devotional as an effective manner of reading the same Bible passage and application. So, the first year, the Women’s group purchased enough devotionals for each high school teacher at Utatlan. After seeing the wonderful results of God’s Word and application read each day in the classroom, we knew that it was a valuable investment and begged for more devotionals the next year. The gift continued and soon grew to include all the teachers and personnel at the Utatlan School, as well as all the Guatemalan PM pastors. Our dorm students read the devotional twice, as they reread it each evening before beginning study hall. Students, as well as teachers, have received a word of refreshment, encouragement, been pointed in the right direction and most importantly, after reading God’s Word, have fallen under conviction and we have seen attitudes and lives changed! With the knowledge and instruction we are receiving, we are becoming responsible in our relationship to Christ, to others and to ourselves. This gift is now made possible through the International Mission Board and we want to thank you for satisfying many people’s spiritual hunger through hearing God’s Word, its application which results in transformed lives!
